Dolphins at Play
"Dolphins at Play", created in acrylics was inspired by my personal fascination with these magnificent creatures. The water splashing from the dolphin's tail was achieved by masking the rest of the painting with scratch paper, leaving the area opened where I wanted the spray to appear, adding a small amount of water to the paint, then flipping the brush from about three inches away, creating a splatter or splash effect.
